Australia won the Final and 5th one-day against England by 49 runs, and they succeeded to clinch up the 5-matches series by 2-1. Batted first the visitors scored 298/10 in 49.1 overs. The middle order batsman and dashing all rounder Shane Watson scored 143 runs by 107 ball with the help of 12 fours and 6 sixes. Ben Stokes took 5-wickets and Chris Jordan took three. It was Chris Jordan debut match.
In reply the hots were all out on 249 runs and lose the decider by 49 runs. Ravi Bopara was the top scorer i.e 62-runs. The other top score batsman was Jose buttler (W) who scored 42-runs. Mitchell Johnson was more economical and successful bowler who took 2 for 21 runs. James Faulkner took 3 for 38.
