Seven people were killed in an attack by about 50 militants on a power station last night in Pakistan’s north-west, AFP reports quoting the authorities. They killed two employees on the spot and abducted 10 others. Later five more bodies were recovered, five are still missing,” a police spokesman said. A spokesperson for the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) confirmed the killing of its four staff and three policepersons. Last week Pakistani Interior Ministry had cautioned about the possible surge in the activities of terrorist groups ahead of May 11 general elections in the country.
