On Tuesday, President Medvedev inspected the Taman Strategic Missile Division near Saratov on the River Volga and watched a ceremony to commission a new regiment. He had this to say: "The government has made important decisions to speed up the modernization of Russia’s Strategic Missile Force. These decisions are backed by appropriate funding, which means they will be implemented on time. The modernization will continue as long as it takes to make sure that Russia’s Strategic Missile Force is up to the mark and can reliably deter any aggression". Source: Voice of Russia. |
