Screen Printing Techniques

Screen Printing is a printing strategy that uses a mesh to aid an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms start locations of mesh to move the ink or other components which can be required through the mesh as a sharp-edged impact onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved in all directions across the stencil, driving the ink past the post of the woven mesh.

Types of Screen Printing
Screen printing is also a stencil method of list making in which a design is energized on a screen of natural cotton or other mesh, with clear openings secured with an dense material, and ink is pushed through the mesh onto the printing screen. It is also known as silkscreen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing.

Materials used for Screen Printing
There are various conditions used for what is basically the same strategy. Typically the procedure was known as screen printing or silkscreen publishing because natural cotton or silk was used in the procedure. The most well-known mesh in common use is made of polyester. There are special-use able components of nylon content and metal available to the screen printing device.

History of Screen Printing
A piece of permeable, well weaved mesh is expanded over the stencil to create the screen. Most mesh is currently weaved for man-made components such as some metals, polyester or nylon although initially hair or cotton was used. In order to block parts of the screen a non-permeable substance is used as the stencil, which becomes the negative of the impression that will be printed.
