Azerbaijan will not allow using its territory to attack Iran. This came in a statement by the Azeri Defence Minister Safar Abiyev, who has arrived in Tehran on a visit.
The General said in an answer to reporters’ question about his country’s ties with Israel that although Azerbaijan does buy Israeli weapons to beef up its own armed forces, it will never use them against Iran. Tehran is apprehensive of an attack by Israel, whose government has repeatedly threatened to Iran due to the latter’s nuclear programme.Mayak
